Happy Monday! It’s a brand new week and maybe you have more than you anticipated planned, or maybe you don’t have anything planned at all but you don’t want to just let a week go to waste saying “I wish I did this”. NO. We have things to do and goals to reach, so let’s talk about some ways we can get organized to have a great and productive week!
1: Grab a Planner or Calendar!

This right here is my holy grail! Having a planner allows you to write down everything you have going on for the week, month, and year! From scheduling a doctors appointment for Tuesday morning, to a reminder to go grocery shopping Friday afternoon. You can refer back to it whenever you may not be sure of what you have going on, or if you maybe forgot something. I suggest keeping your planner in your purse or close to you just incase something may come up. If you are more of a tech lover, then head to your calendar app where you can log everything through there!
Having a planner can also keep you motivated! Whether you have a lot going on, or maybe not. Looking back and checking off what your’e getting done can keep you inspired to keep going and do more! Even if it’s the smallest thing like doing the dishes. Give yourself a little reward to look forward to at the end of the week, like a wine and movie night!
2: Write down weekly goals

Have you ever found yourself just going through the week and realizing half way through that you’re slacking on completing the goals you thought about? Instead of getting mad at yourself and killing your vibe for the rest of the week, write it down! Take your planner, journal, or even a sticky note, and write down at least 1 thing you would like to accomplish for the week. Writing down your weekly goals can help keep you on track to completing some bigger long term goals you may have. Don’t think it has to be some extravagant goal. One of my goals last week was to drink 4 glasses of water a day, I used the bathroom about 20+ times, but I did it! Think of a short term goal that you can look back at the end of the week proud and say, “Wow, I did it”. I bet that you’ll be saying that with a smile on your face! I challenge you to write down at least 3 personal goals you would like to accomplish next week. Monday morning, wake up and write out all that you need to do and what you would like to accomplish. Look at them and recite them everyday that week as a reminder that you’re on track and you can do it!
3: Wake up early

I know this one sounds harsh, especially if you are in no way shape or form a morning person! Waking up early gives you more time to be productive and even lowers your stress levels. I know the first few minutes of waking up are painful! You think your eyes are open and you’re starting to sit up…but you’re actually buried in your pillows. No one is telling you to wake up at 6 AM everyday, but maybe aim to be up between 8 AM - 9 AM. Give yourself a set time to get up, drink a glass of water, workout/take a shower, grab your breakfast, get your planner, and get to work! I threw working out in there because exercising in general allows you to release endorphins. I personally love to exercise in the morning because it boosts your energy for the day.
Give it a try for one week and see how much longer the day feels; and how much more you get done!

Instead of saying, “I’ll do it tomorrow” go to Walmart and buy that $2.00 planner. Set your alarm for 8 AM and write down your goals you want to accomplish and how you are going to do it. 2020 has already been a rollercoaster ride, but we don’t have time to keep riding. Start making those moves beautiful!
