We all have that one questionable thing we constantly did when we were younger, that our parents still bring up til this day. Mine was the fact that I would change my clothes about 6 times a day. I’m not even exaggerating. It was my school uniform, short shorts with a tank top, a 2 piece bikini, dance clothes, a pair of pjs, and then another pair of pjs if my chunky self didn’t feel cute in the first pair. Mind you, this was just the mood for one day! Come the next day, it was a whole different vibe! My mom truly wanted to kill me for the amount of laundry she had to do.
This led into me experimenting with different styles as I got older. Correct me if I’m wrong, but almost all of us as women have tested out both the tomboy and girly style to see which one really stuck with us. Remember wearing Jordan slides with socks? That trend is back! I’m one who loves to play around with both styles, but add my own flavor to it. For example, if I’m wearing baggy bottoms (ex. sweatpants), then I’ll pair it with a fitted top or bodysuit, or vice versa. Another example is wearing a midi dress and pairing it with some sneakers and a fanny pack to give the outfit a more sporty vibe. A lot of my style inspiration comes from my personality, dance, music, artists, Pinterest, and especially where I live…MIAMI!
As I mentioned above, before you purchase that pricey top, bottoms, shoes, or accessory, let’s do our research together! While styling and creating looks is something I have started to play around with again, I have always been a firm believer in affordable fashion. Some of the top stores and websites where you can find GREAT deals on good quality items are: Ross, Marshalls, TJ Maxx, Nordstrom Rack, Macy’s, Fashion Nova, Finish Line, Thrift stores, and the list goes on! These places offer a lot of good quality name brand products anywhere from 50-70% off the original price, and if there’s a sale? Forget it, because you and I both know that you’re not leaving empty handed. You can look good and feel even better knowing you don’t have to break the bank! Go save that money for an experience!
It’s good to do research on an item before buying it, so you can see where you can get the best deal. In this section, we’re going to share different styling tips and shopping hacks that can really change up the fashion game! Now I do believe in treating yourself, but even then you can find that Gucci bag for a great discounted price! There’s no reason why you should spend an immense amount of money on an item you could potentially find for a cheaper price, while still keeping in mind quality over quantity.
